Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Molding children is an art and requires work, passion, and efficiency, otherwise it could be too late, and other less desirable factors will mold them. Southwest Pediatric Care aims to provide care within the context that children have physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs that must be met. Although their DNA or genetic makeup is complete, their personality is still moldable by their environment. SWPC is here to partner with you, parents and guardians, to maximize your child's growth and developmental potential. With 19 years of primary pediatric care, we aim to provide wholistic care to pediatric patients with a focus on disease prevention, their growth and development, and health promotion.

Dr. Chanana

Dr. Chanana's Biography

Dr. Nitin Chanana is double board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology with the American Board of Pediatrics.

He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from PGIMS, Rohtak, India. Dr. Chanana completed residency training in General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of New York (CHONY) at Columbia University, New York City in 2012. He thereafter completed 3-year fellowship training in Pediatric and Fetal Cardiology at Primary Children’s Hospital, University of Utah at Salt Lake City in 2015 and moved to El Paso.

Dr. Chanana has expertise and special interest in managing fetuses, children and adults with complex congenital heart disease especially single-ventricle patients. He co-manages children with Heart Transplant Centers for their pre-and-post heart transplant care.

He is author of several publications in the field of single ventricle physiology and pediatric heart transplantation. He has presented his research work in both national and international cardiology conferences. He received travel award from American Society of Echocardiography in 2014.

Dr. Chanana is pleased to partner with Dr. Kumar at Pediatric and Fetal Cardiology Associates, El Paso established in 2017. He loves living in El Paso with his wife Sushila, and their two children Parin and Ishita. When not seeing cardiac patients, he enjoys travelling, biking, hiking and seeing his kids engaged in music and sports.

Vibhash Kumar's Biography

Dr. Kumar received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in India. His pediatrics residency was at University of Illinois, Chicago, and was followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Dr. Kumar is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He has a special interest in cardiac imaging, particularly imaging of the fetal heart His research interest includes Tetralogy of Fallot(TOF) and management of patients with single ventricle physiology.

In his leisure, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the nature."

Rachael Wiley

Young living distributor (Essentail Oils)

Racheal Wiley is a health and wellness advocate who has been on her essential oil journey for over 5 years. She began looking for a more natural approach in supporting the overall wellness of her children. She found her answer when Young Living essential oils were introduced to her, and she jumped in with both feet. She is currently working on her French Aromatherapy Certification and practices the Aroma Freedom Technique. Racheal has a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from NMSU. From there she taught for 7 years in the Gadsden School District and 4 years in the Deming School District. She kept her Highly Qualified teaching status all 11 years she was an elementary school teacher. Her passion lies in education and empowering people to start living a life of wellness, purpose, and abundance. Her goal is to reach as many people as she can to share the wonderful benefits of essential oils. Who is ready to start their journey?
